Position Overview: The Bilingual Substance Abuse Program Supervisor will provide both individual and group clinical supervision in alignment with the regulatory standards set forth by CBH, DDAP, and OMHSAS for licensed and unlicensed substance abuse counselors across various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a minimum of one hour of individual supervision monthly for each Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC).
  • Conduct at least one hour of group supervision monthly for SACs, ensuring documentation is completed within 48 hours.
  • Facilitate case consultation conferences with medical professionals and SACs, documenting all relevant details in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Implement policies and procedures for the operation of outpatient substance abuse services, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, and funding requirements.

Clinical Oversight:

  • Ensure that all clients have up-to-date lab results on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
  • Monitor that counselors spend 70% of their working hours in the office.
  • Guarantee that all services requiring client signatures are conducted in person, with exceptions documented and discussed with a supervisor.
  • Ensure all services are fully documented within 7 days and are ready for billing.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct monthly follow-ups on training with SACs during supervision sessions.
  • Ensure all SACs and supervisors complete required training prior to annual performance evaluations.
  • Facilitate the completion of 25 hours of training annually for each SAC, in addition to mandatory training.
  • Provide training recommendations tailored to the needs of SACs.
  • Complete performance evaluations and individual training plans for all SACs by year-end.

Billing and Documentation:

  • Collect the billing cycle schedule from the Billing Supervisor.
  • Ensure SACs submit billing sheets within 72 hours of service delivery.
  • Review all treatment plans, evaluations, intakes, and therapy documentation for billing approval.
  • Complete case consultations with SACs and medical professionals as needed, documenting findings in Credible within 48 hours.
  • Prepare incident reports for CBH and APM, forwarding necessary documentation to the Director of Operations.

Meetings and Collaboration:

  • Engage in regular supervision and meetings with directors.
  • Participate in various employee benefits including vision, dental, and life insurance, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and employee assistance programs.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and take proactive steps to enhance the substance abuse program under the guidance of the Director.
  • Collaborate effectively with community resources, agencies, hospitals, and the judicial system.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in relevant fields such as medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or nursing.
  • Completion of ASAM training.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Clearance from FBI, Child Abuse, Criminal Background, and Medical/TB tests.
