About the Role:
Our client is in search of a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to deliver services for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and co-occurring conditions. This role is pivotal in supporting individuals on their path to recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to ascertain the appropriate level of care for clients.
  • Develop and implement aftercare plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Manage an active caseload, providing consistent support and guidance.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited institution, or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
  • Licensure and certification preferred (LPC, LSW, LCSW, CAADC, CADC, CAAD, AAC, CAAC, CCS).
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with mental health and psychiatric populations.
  • Direct experience with psychiatric, mental health, and co-occurring patients is essential.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass required background checks.
