Drywall Estimator Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for drywall projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information
  • Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project budgets
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing for materials and labor
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates for drywall projects
  • Prepare bid proposals and submit to clients within specified deadlines
  • Review project progress and provide ongoing cost analysis
  • Participate in project meetings to provide input on cost management
  • Utilize estimating software to streamline the estimating process

Required Skills:

  • At least five years of experience in drywall estimating
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy

Benefits:
