Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Insurance Biller to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate claims submissions to insurance carriers, resolving denials and appeals, and optimizing revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers in a timely manner
  • Resolve responses from insurance carriers, including denials and appeals, to optimize revenue generation and cash flow
  • Perform duties in both professional and facility billing platforms, including mistake proofing and root cause analysis
  • Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal customers via phone and written correspondence
  • Audit records and claims submissions, and perform appeals when necessary
Requirements
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of assigned payer billing requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, billing/collection practices, and workflows
  • Basic familiarity with Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10), Tenth Edition codes
