The Operational Excellence Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the sustainability of our continuous improvement systems, driving manufacturing excellence across Agropur US plants in the Midwest region. As a key member of our transformation team, you will be responsible for implementing new work methods based on continuous improvement methodologies, minimizing operational costs and ensuring our operations level progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the tools and philosophy of operational excellence in departments.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement by advocating a zero-loss mindset, work to standard, employee ownership, and servant leadership.
  • Support and coach operators, line leads, and high management processes, as well as internal coaches.
  • Conduct health checks of DMS on all shifts and identify measures to improve.
  • Participate in daily meetings to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate top losses.
  • Provide effective coaching to line structure teams to develop and execute 90-day plans and future compelling business needs based on continuous improvement mentality.
  • Act as a support to line structure teams and coaches in their daily tasks and actions.
  • Prepare reports and statistics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant field (Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing (continuous improvement, production, quality, or maintenance).
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology required.
  • Food consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
  • 75% of travel required through Agropur's U.S. plants.
