Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key role within our organization, responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities on 3rd shift in our Ripon, WI facilities. This position is critical in executing the maintenance process, establishing a reliability focus, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a safe working environment and implement workplace policies.
  • Build strong relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety, asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and schedule compliance.
  • Assist in scoping corrective work orders with Maintenance Planners.
  • Manage and develop weekly schedules for shift technicians and prioritize emergency jobs.
  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or Business Management (or significant experience and special training in lieu of a degree).
  • At least 5 years maintenance experience in a skilled position and 2 or more years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities equipment, with the ability to read and understand prints.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment functionality.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills.
  • Excellent teaming and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-starter and team motivator.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
  • Stooping, bending, standing for long periods, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
