Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient care activities, including vital sign collection and documentation
  • Provide clerical and receptionist duties to the unit, including data entry and phone support
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the unit
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Junior College/Technical School diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified in West Virginia as CNA or completion of Medical Assistant Program or Patient Care required
  • Technician Program completion required
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment
  • Basic computer skills, including typing and keyboarding
Preferred Qualifications
  • Up to 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience in effectively dealing with the public
  • Successful completion of medical terminology exam (80%)
  • Successful completion of unit competency exam for Patient Care Assistant
  • Basic computer skills, including typing and keyboarding
