Job Title: Housekeeping Director

Westgate Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Director to lead our housekeeping team. As a key member of our resort's management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Director will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including staff management, budgeting, and quality control. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Develop and implement effective housekeeping procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage the housekeeping budget and ensure that expenses are controlled and optimized.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest service.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that housekeeping staff have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional service.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that the housekeeping department is meeting its goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of success in housekeeping management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within a resort or large-scale hotel setting (400 rooms or more preferred).
  • Strong experience in managing departmental budgets, controlling expenses, and optimizing operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing housekeeping standards, procedures, and training programs.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives that drive guest satisfaction and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in housekeeping management or a related field is an advantage.
