Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, including staffing, budgets, and supplies.
  • Ensure the completion of laundry and housekeeping tasks in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the needs of residents and staff.
  • Manage the department within labor and supply budget guidelines, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping and laundry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and order.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of housekeeping and laundry services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and maintain a positive working relationship with staff and residents.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
  • Training in laundry equipment operation, practices, and procedures is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building cleaning and floor maintenance techniques is essential.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with staff and residents.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement programs, goals, and objectives, and to interpret policies and procedures.
