Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Event Coordinator to join our team at Ithaca College. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing events planned by the Conference and Event Services office staff, ensuring the delivery of services requested for an event, and resolving any on-site logistical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage events from planning to execution, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, and staff, to accommodate their event-related requests.
  • Oversee event setup, audio-visual services, catering, parking, security, and other logistical aspects.
  • Assist in providing event-related equipment or services as needed.
  • Resolve any on-site logistical issues and ensure a safe and secure environment for event attendees.
  • Document and evaluate each event for future planning purposes.
  • Stay up-to-date with 25Live scheduling system for advanced search functions.
  • Attend regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed about college policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and be available to work late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility.
  • Experience working in event management or a related field.
