Job Title: Human Resources Director

The Human Resources Director is a key member of the Tcsg team, responsible for overseeing the technical college's human resources functions. This includes services such as compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, training, and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement personnel policies to ensure compliance with Technical College System of Georgia policies and state and federal laws.
  • Serve as Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator to ensure workplace accommodation compliance.
  • Implement and monitor the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Prepare and monitor the college's affirmative action plan.
  • Ensure compliance with Family and Medical Leave Act requirements.
  • Coordinate employee drug testing operations.
  • Process and verify new employee background and Homeland Security database checks.
  • Implement and monitor employee training programs.
  • Process worker's compensation claims.
  • Develop and maintain the employee handbook.
  • Prepare and administer annual budget.
  • Enter and process personnel/payroll transactions.
  • Direct the provision of employee benefits in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Administer the performance management process.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee personnel files and serve as primary custodian of personnel records.
  • Serve as consultant management on specific human resource problems and concerns.
  • Oversee the processing of adverse actions, grievances, and other employer relations matters.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Human Resource or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two (2) years of full-time work experience in human resources in major areas of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications may vary from location to location.

Benefits:

Salary range is $75,000 – $80,000/annually. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, and sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
