Job Summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join our team at our Part 145 Repair Station in Shreveport, Louisiana. As an Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring repairs and systems, providing strong engineering leadership skills, and ensuring the highest quality traditional aircraft operations, completions, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify gaps between requirements, design, manufacturing, and operations
  • Assess and approve technical completion and compliance at major program and avionics technical reviews
  • Provide engineering leadership and mentorship to coordinate design, analysis, and systems engineering processes throughout development, verification, delivery, and operation
  • Participate with other members to assess and enforce engineering process health and compliance
  • Represent the Company and project with key customers
Requirements
  • Proficient background in avionics, safety-critical electronic systems, and/or flight control systems
  • Sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making
  • Ability to create an environment that demonstrates teamwork and professionalism with diverse personalities and professional backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and strong initiative
Work Environment

The Avionics Engineer will work in a temperature-controlled office with exposure to indoor and outdoor environments with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures. The position requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
