We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality vascular ultrasound exams and providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment. This is a PRN opportunity with flexible scheduling to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

Patient Care and Safety

The DMS/RVT must have the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the exam process.

Technical Skills and Equipment Management

The specialist must be proficient in the performance of all aspects of vascular ultrasound, including patient positioning, exposure factors, and equipment setup.

Communication and Teamwork

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as the DMS/RVT will interact with patients, families, coworkers, and physicians on a daily basis.

Quality Control and Improvement

The specialist must consistently produce acceptable images, adhering to quality control standards and participating in ongoing education to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

Education and Certification

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with registration as a Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) or ARRT Vascular Sonography certification.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
