About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Echo Tech Specialist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in Hiram, GA. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $82,000 - $108,000 per year.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures. They will work under the direction of the Manager or Chief Technologist and must possess excellent communication skills, as they will interact frequently with physicians, patients, and other healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing Echocardiograms: The Echo Tech Specialist will perform adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: They will ensure that all equipment is fully operational and properly calibrated before each use.
  • Patient Care: The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients in the Echo department.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association required; Reg Cardiac Sonographer - CCI required; Reg Diag Card Sono Adult Echo - ARMDM (AE) required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography required.
