Float Pool Registered Nurse RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various units throughout the hospital, including ICU, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health. Your primary function will be to provide clinical and administrative support on the unit, working closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration.
- Change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Coordinate unit activities and assure accountability of all assigned tasks.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
- Required minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated and proven competency in several specialty areas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
