We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various units within the hospital, including ICU, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and administrative support on the unit, working closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
- Coordinate unit activities and ensure accountability of all assigned tasks.
- Instruct and educate patients and their family members on their care and treatment.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
- Required minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated and proven competency in several specialty areas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
