The successful applicant will contribute technical expertise on departmental projects and foster strong relationships with both the team and clients to facilitate the pursuit of new business opportunities.
The candidate must possess excellent communication skills to effectively engage with project team members, clients, site personnel, and management, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a cohesive project team.
Commitment to the team's success and growth is essential; the candidate will diligently adhere to safety protocols and procedures, manage technical, cost, and scheduling aspects of project execution, and ensure the quality of field operations and project outputs in accordance with the AECOM Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and professionals from other AECOM business units.
2. Serve as the Engineer of Record, responsible for sealing and signing reports, drawing sets, technical specifications, and related regulatory application documents. Experience with regulatory bodies is advantageous.
3. Act as Senior Project Engineer on various projects, overseeing technical delivery, design, client communication, reporting obligations, and coordination with project team members.
4. Develop remediation designs for diverse applications, including excavation, in-situ injections for bioremediation, chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction systems, air sparge systems, and sub-slab depressurization systems.
5. Draft comprehensive reports, work plans, and technical memoranda; analyze data and formulate substantiated conclusions.
6. Conduct general civil and process design calculations and prepare detailed documentation (reports, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates). Experience with petroleum/chemical bulk storage, air quality, and landfill operations is preferred.
7. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance project efficiencies, refine technical methodologies, and add value to client service offerings.
8. Mentor junior and mid-level staff, assisting in their preparation for the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam.
