About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Expert III to join our team at Alaska Northstar Resources. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in cloud services, infrastructure as code, and automation/orchestration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Builds, scripts, tests, and deploys infrastructure as code and cloud native API commands via automation/orchestration using tools such as JSON, Ansible, DSL, Python, Jenkins, Chef, and Terraform.
  • Writes infrastructure as code for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services (Amazon Web Services [AWS] Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, Azure App Services).
  • Provides cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.
  • Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of infrastructure as code when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of infrastructure as code intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Works within an Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
  • Candidate must have Security+ CE or other applicable 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
  • Candidate must have at least 15 years of related experience in information technology to include Cloud Services.
  • Candidate must have experience with AWS ECS Fargate/Terraform Containerized Atlassian Data Center HA Solution (Infrastructure as Code) using AWS PaaS VPC (CloudOne).
  • Candidate must have Kubernetes experience.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with DoD/FedRamp Implementations - Cybersecurity, STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture, NGINX, Keycloak, Terraform, Lambda, PostgreSQL, Git, ELK Stack.
  • Use of Global Content Delivery Service (GCDS).
  • Atlassian Clustered Implementations.
Work Environment

This is an office environment that requires the ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and in writing. The ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and clients is also required. Occasional business travel may be required, and only requested and approved expenses will be covered by Alaska Northstar Resources.

Salary

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

The salary for this position is $160,000-$190,000.
