This is a challenging role for a skilled Maintenance Technician III-1 with a company located in the Olive Branch, MS area. As a key member of the FedEx industrial maintenance team, you will support the maintenance of material handling systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical power transmission, electrical, and PLC/controls systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems, including mechanical power transmission, electrical, and PLC/controls systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and PLC/controls issues, utilizing prescribed processes and procedures.
- Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manufacturer's manuals, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair system faults and failures.
- Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
- Collaborate with department, operations, vendors, and support teams to resolve issues and complete projects.
- High School Diploma or GED required; certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade, or related area and an associate degree in a related area preferred.
- Four (4) years experience in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical, and working knowledge of PLC/Controls and welding/fabrication skills through job experience, related military experience, and/or related education.
- Ability to follow procedures as directed by work orders or high-level technicians/management.
- Ability to interpret electrical or mechanical schematics, manufacturer's manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system faults and failures or determine escalation.
Will need to use hand tools and possibly power tools. May be working in hot or cold temperatures. May need to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat.
