Integris Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Transfer and Logistics Center team. As a RN Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient care needs, facilitating patient placement, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform telephonic patient triage and discharge follow-up with physicians and patients
- Coordinate with outlying regional physicians and hospitals for patient transfers and ground/air transport
- Collaborate with ER, PACU, and bed boards to manage admissions and transfers
- Work with the Bed Assignment/Staffing Group, Patient Placement Coordinator, and Administrative Supervisor to determine census and acuity
- Receive and obtain admission orders for admissions and ensure orders are sent to the appropriate nursing unit
- Advise physicians on changes to bed requests, ETA, or treatment upon arrival
- Maintain physician standing orders files and participate in educational programs to maintain job skills
- Assist with the orientation of new employees and report to the Clinical Nurse Manager
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- 4 years RN experience or 8 years EMT Dispatching experience in lieu of RN experience
- Experience as a lead/charge nurse or with placement or care of critically ill patients preferred
- 2 years computer and telephone system experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
