Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Aveanna Healthcare, a leading provider of pediatric home health care, is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to deliver high-quality patient care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians' orders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as necessary.
  • Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and update the nursing care plan to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
Environment:
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
