Position Overview:

Location: Asheville, NC

Work Schedule:
  • As Needed Shifts
  • Available on days, second shift, and overnight
  • Weekdays and weekends

Compensation:
  • LPN starting at $31.50 per hour, with increases based on experience
  • RN starting at $34.00 per hour, with increases based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct blood draws, monitor vital signs, provide first aid, and assess physical health concerns.
  • Manage medication refills and orders.
  • Prepare medications and evaluate eligibility for self-administration.
  • Educate residents regarding their medications.
  • Assess residents with physical health issues, schedule external appointments, and ensure follow-up care.
  • Collect blood glucose levels, breathalyzer tests, and urine drug screens.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medications, appointments, and health concerns.
  • Provide crisis intervention and assist with hospitalization as needed.
  • Collaborate with Integrative Health Specialists on supplements, dietary needs, and weight monitoring.
  • Complete necessary procedures and documentation for all resident changes.

Qualifications:
  • Genuine interest in working within a mental health residential treatment environment.
  • Prior psychiatric experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications is essential.
  • Must hold a valid NC license as an LPN or RN.
