About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Givens Estates, a premier nonprofit life plan community in Asheville, NC. As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans to ensure the highest level of care and quality of life.
- Administer medications and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by medical staff, maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls in the community, demonstrating your ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Coordinate unit routines, provide guidance to staff, and orient new staff to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, relaying pertinent information in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- An unencumbered Registered Nursing license in the State of North Carolina.
- Two years of experience in long-term care or with the geriatric population, with a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this population.
- Excellent public relations skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and a positive work environment, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Compensation: $32.00-$36.00 per hour, with an additional $4.00 per hour for PRN shifts and shift differential pay.
