We are currently in search of talented individuals for our Equipment Maintenance Technician position.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Service Supervisor, the Equipment Maintenance Technician will perform assigned tasks related to the repair, upkeep, and refurbishment of machinery in both the service shop and field settings. This role demands efficiency and skill, ensuring that all work is completed within established timeframes and standards.

Core Duties
  • Diagnose mechanical issues in Caterpillar and allied products, as well as Ag & Turf and industrial machinery.
  • Provide warranty recommendations and compile reports for warranty service tasks.
  • Conduct minor welding, fabrication, plumbing, and D.C. electrical repairs.
  • Participate in training sessions as required and achieve satisfactory grades.
  • Recondition or overhaul major components to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Propose solutions to rectify failures or issues.
  • Strictly adhere to safety, housekeeping, credit, and other company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive business relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues from other departments.
  • Manage Equipment Condition Reporting.
  • Contribute to team success by achieving necessary results.
  • Travel as needed to support workload across various locations.
Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in PC usage.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 60 days.
  • Possession of hand tools suitable for the required tasks.
  • Preferred experience of at least 5 years.
Physical Requirements:
  • Mobility: Ability to walk over uneven terrain.
  • Manual Dexterity: Operate equipment and hand/power tools.
  • Handling: Capable of seizing and working with hands.
  • Lifting: Ability to raise or lower equipment parts and tools.
  • Reaching: Extend hands and arms in various directions.
  • Stooping: Bend body downward and forward.
  • Standing: Remain standing as required for job functions.
  • Climbing: Enter and exit equipment.
  • Vision: Read work tickets and operate heavy machinery.
  • Communication: Effective verbal communication by radio, phone, and in person.
  • Hearing: Ability to discern mechanical issues for safety.
  • Sitting: Sit in equipment and vehicles for extended periods.
  • Laying: Lie under vehicles and equipment for prolonged durations.
  • Lifting: Regularly lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to support operations.
Environmental Conditions:
  • Noise: Work in environments with varying noise levels.
  • Temperature: Exposure to outdoor and shop conditions with temperature fluctuations.
  • Exposure: Subject to various odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
