The HR Operations Specialist will oversee and facilitate human resources policies and initiatives across multiple domains, including employee engagement, payroll management, onboarding and training, workplace safety, and benefits administration.
This position is pivotal in the recruitment, development, and retention of personnel, with a comprehensive understanding of equal employment opportunity regulations and fundamental HR principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Policy Administration: Execute and manage ongoing HR policies, programs, and procedures to enhance employee relations and retention strategies.
- Time and Labor Management: Support the administration of the Time and Labor system to ensure precision.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee all facets of new employee recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Performance Management: Distribute and assist with reminders for employee performance assessments, ensuring timely execution.
- Payroll Support: Assist the Payroll Manager in validating payroll modifications, ensuring the accuracy of salaries, bonuses, benefits, and other deductions.
- Employee Apparel Coordination: Assist in the ordering and management of employee apparel for annual distributions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Effective Communication: Maintain seamless communication between management and staff.
- Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefit enrollments, respond to inquiries, and address concerns.
- Travel Requirements: Travel between locations as necessary.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned.
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge: General understanding of employment laws and practices; specialized knowledge of HR systems, processes, and procedures, including benefits and compensation administration.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), HR systems, and Payroll Database software. Ability to interpret documents such as safety regulations and procedural manuals.
- Confidentiality: Must uphold a high level of confidentiality.
- Work Environment: Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Must be respectful, approachable, team-oriented, and capable of fostering strong working relationships.
