We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audio/Visual Systems Engineer to join our team at University Health System- San Antonio. As a key member of our Field Engineering staff, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and overseeing complex systems involving Audio/Visual data, voice, and video.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve complex network and hardware matters of significance within Audio/Visual systems.
- Research, analyze, isolate, and resolve errors in Audio/Visual systems.
- Assess and evaluate current and future systems to ensure optimal performance and integrity.
- Develop and conduct training as needed to ensure effective use of Audio/Visual systems.
- Manage customer expectations and balance the needs of the organization and clients to ensure satisfaction for all relevant parties.
- Manage and assure the integrity of all enterprise conferencing and collaboration audio/visual hardware and conferencing integration.
- Manage systems, prioritize work assignments, and ensure the integrity of all UHS Conference Rooms and their respective systems.
- Associate's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field and one year of Audio/Visual experience required.
- Three years of equivalent experience is also acceptable.
- Professional certifications from one of the following are preferred: Certified Netware Administrator (CNA), Bay Networks Certification Programs, Dante, Tesira IO Server, Extron GCP Global configurator Certified.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
- Experience in multiple vendor and platform environments is preferred.
- Personal computers, printers, peripheral devices, desktop operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11), e-mail systems, Microsoft Office Professional, Internet Explorer, and various productivity tools.
- Understanding of client/server architecture, Intel-based servers, Unix hardware, switches, and hubs.
- Understanding of Sure Microflex, Dante Systems, Extron GCP Global configurator pro, and Tesira IO Server.
This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all assignments. Proficiency in performing all duties for which responsible and thoroughness in reporting information to management, peers, and users is required.
