Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all back-of-house staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Train and develop back-of-house staff in multiple food and beverage outlets around the mountain.
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform regular inventory assessments to optimize stock management.
  • Ensure the care, maintenance, and servicing of all equipment in assigned areas of operations.
  • Collaborate with the Lodge Manager to control inventory and labor costs through ordering and scheduling.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all food service areas in assigned areas of operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Report to the Lodge Manager any issues related to production levels, staff performance, and safety regarding food and equipment.

Requirements

  • Passionate about Bogus Basin's mission and values.
  • Completion of Advanced Serve Safe Course within the last three years.
  • Previous supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
  • At least two years of back-of-house kitchen experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Physical demands include frequent reaching, balancing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity required for handling kitchen utensils.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, and supporting up to 35 pounds may be required.

Working Conditions

  • Alpine environment with exposure to inclement weather.
  • Restaurant environment with both indoor and outdoor settings.
