Job Summary:
As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at Upstate University Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with a diverse range of infectious diseases. Your duties will include:
- Providing in-patient and out-patient ID consultation services to patients and healthcare teams
- Executing Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- Teaching and mentoring medical students, interns, residents, and fellows in the field of infectious diseases
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- MD/DO degree with Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Infectious Diseases
- New York State medical license or eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with the following preferred qualifications:
- Clinical research experience in infectious diseases
- Experience as an independent HIV/ID clinician and as an attending physician supervising and teaching residents and students
- Demonstrated research and academic productivity
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday daytime hours and rotating on-call shifts. The salary range is commensurate with experience.
