Medical Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Powers Health is seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will work under the direction of our Providers to perform patient care services and assist with patient visits and procedures in a medical office or clinic setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care services, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
- Assist Providers and other medical staff with patient visits and procedures.
- Perform front desk duties, including telephone work, patient scheduling, and ordering supplies.
- Collect and process specimens, such as blood and urine samples.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or active current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant required.
- Six months previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Must maintain current CPR certification and TB certification.
