Job Description

Job Title: Principal Cloud Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Oracle. As a key member of our Support organization, you will be responsible for delivering post-sales support and solutions to our customers while serving as an advocate for their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services.
  • Facilitate customer relationships with Support and provide advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.
  • Act as the technical interface to customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) for resolution of problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance, and use of Oracle products.
  • Have an understanding of all Oracle products in their competencies and in-depth knowledge of several products and/or platforms.
  • Be highly experienced in multiple platforms and be able to complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or relevant work experience.
  • 6+ years' experience in Infrastructure or cloud-related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing.
  • In-depth knowledge of Networking.
  • Experience with public-cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure, and/or GCP (including Networking).
  • Prior Experience in a Technical Support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly troubleshoot technical problems to root cause to restore service.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a global, remote workforce.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scripting experience in Ansible, Python, Terraform, and others.
  • Integration technologies (APIs and CLIs).
  • Knowledge on Oracle Database and Exadata.
