Job Overview:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security is in search of a Lead Systems Architect to join our esteemed team in Oklahoma City, OK. This pivotal role involves spearheading sustainment initiatives for our international clientele and contributing to the E-7 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Sustainment Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and decompose system requirements while ensuring proper allocation.
  • Conduct functional analysis and breakdown of system functionalities.
  • Design and synthesize system architecture.
  • Verify and validate system requirements effectively.
  • Support FAA and Military Certification processes.
  • Engage in system analysis and project engineering, focusing on Technical Performance Measures, Risk Management, and SEIT performance metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and facilitate program and customer meetings, including design reviews.
  • Create and deliver SEIT products such as architecture models, requirements databases, and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with customer organizations.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure adherence to Boeing processes and quality standards.
  • Occasionally travel to support customer and supplier engagements.
  • Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering Tools (CAMEO, Rhapsody, DOORS, etc.) for project execution.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This role necessitates the ability to secure a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance will be required post-start.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 13 years of relevant engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and develop actionable plans.
  • Familiarity with System Architecture Development and Modeling tools.
  • Experience in Functional Decomposition and Requirements Management.
  • Proficiency in verification and validation processes.
  • Expertise in risk, issue, and opportunity management.
  • Experience in leading system design reviews.
  • Background in systems integration and testing.
  • Knowledge of Airworthiness and Certification processes.
  • INCOSE Certification is a plus.
  • Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
  • Experience working with international clients.

Education & Experience:

Typically requires advanced technical education in engineering or related fields, along with extensive relevant work experience.
