Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients across various age groups, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Interact with physicians, employees, and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with population-specific guidelines and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Supervise technician productivity and provide guidance and training to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Participate in identifying and investigating adverse drug reactions and complete adverse drug reaction forms as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital personnel to provide quality patient care.
Requirements
  • PharmD or RPh degree.
  • High school diploma with PharmD or BS degree.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, possess organizational and decision-making skills, and demonstrate good clinical assessment and judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pharmacy management, pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred licensure or certifications.
  • Preferred educational requirements.
  • Preferred experience.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and push/pull occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
