Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a Pharmacist Outpatient Specialist, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in our outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in our outpatient setting, including medication therapy management and patient education.
  • Rotate duties between the Shands Outpatient and Medical Plaza Pharmacies, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Exercise professional judgment in evaluating medication orders and making recommendations to healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care and optimal medication use.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and research to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Previous experience in ambulatory practice and knowledge of insurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate a computer and interact in a clinic environment.
  • Knowledge of a clinic specialty is a plus.
