Animal Care Specialist

As an Animal Care Technician at Biomedical Research Models, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals in our care. Your primary responsibilities will include performing animal care procedures, such as acclimation, handling, and restraint, as well as providing feed, water, and enrichment. You will also be responsible for cage/enclosure cleaning and sanitation, and may assist in the preparation and distribution of routine medication and specialized diets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform animal care procedures, including acclimation, handling, and restraint, as well as providing feed, water, and enrichment.
- Clean and sanitize cages and enclosures, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of routine medication and specialized diets.
- Observe and record animal behavior and health, and report any atypical findings to veterinary staff and senior personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
