Ophthalmic Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Care Specialist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As an Ophthalmic Care Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for ophthalmological examinations, taking pertinent ocular and medical history, and performing various ophthalmic duties.
Requirements:
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology is required within one year from date of hire.
- Certified in BLS is required; or must become certified within 6 months of date of hire.
- Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLSS) certification every two years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as COT or COMT is preferred.
