Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate (Donation Pricer) to join our team at Goodwill of Western New York. As a Store Associate, you will play a critical role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that donations are properly sorted and priced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 100% customer delight by ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and support.
  • Sort donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories, and place non-salable items into salvage containers.
  • Price merchandise using our agency's baseline price guide, and identify special price items of exceptional value.
  • Stay up-to-date on merchandise knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing.
  • Keep the pricing area clean and organized, and transport merchandise to the sales floor, stock shelves, display, and rotate merchandise.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, and follow good safety practices.
  • Meet agency standards regarding quality and quantity of work, and consistently meet production goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior work experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, customers, and donors.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude, and work on a team as well as individually with minimal supervision.
  • Communicates effectively by providing clear and timely communication, and demonstrates effective listening skills.
  • Demonstrates adaptability by adjusting to changing business priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Ability to stand, reach, grasp, twist, and bend on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds with no support regularly.
