Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first or second assisting for surgical procedures as needed and assigned for patients of all ages.
  • Assist in preparation for surgical procedures, utilizing aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Ensure that appropriate equipment and supplies are available and functional for the operating room suite.
Requirements
  • Medical School graduate or Certification as Surgical Assistant.
  • Previous OR experience and CPR Certification.
Working Conditions
  • Must be willing to work with exposures to body fluids, waste, and chemicals, radiation, hazardous materials, anesthesia gases, and life-threatening diseases.
  • On-call availability, rotating shifts, and flexibility to deal with changing environments.
