Opportunity Overview:

The Avera Medical Group is expanding its Maternal Fetal Medicine services. Key features of this role include:

  • A collaborative environment supported by a diverse team of specialists and staff, including 4 perinatal Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), 2 genetic counselors, 12 obstetricians, 8 OB APPs, 5 nurse midwives, 6 neonatologists, and 17 neonatal APPs.
  • A 14-bed Labor and Delivery unit with dedicated operating rooms for cesarean sections, alongside a 24-bed postpartum unit, facilitating approximately 2,400 births annually.
  • A modern clinic attached to the hospital featuring 5 ultrasound rooms equipped with GE Ultrasounds.
  • Clinic personnel include 4 APPs for admissions and rounds, 5 registered nurses, 2 genetic counselors, and 13 sonographers.
  • The Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic provides ultrasound services and telemedicine consultations for 14 locations across the tri-state region.
  • A dedicated Maternal Fetal Transport team is available for Labor & Delivery.
  • The neonatal department includes a newly established 43-bed Level III NICU with pediatric subspecialists in various fields such as anesthesiology, surgery, cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, and radiology.
