The Avera Medical Group Maternal Fetal Medicine presents an expanding opportunity. Key features include:

  • Robust collaboration with sub-specialists and support personnel to enhance the team-oriented approach to patient care, including: 4 perinatal advanced practice providers, 2 genetic counselors, 12 obstetricians, 8 OB advanced practice providers, 5 nurse midwives, 6 neonatologists, and 17 neonatal advanced practice providers.
  • A 14-bed labor and delivery unit with dedicated operating rooms for cesarean sections and a 24-bed postpartum unit accommodating approximately 2,400 births annually.
  • A state-of-the-art clinic connected to the hospital featuring 5 ultrasound rooms equipped with GE Ultrasounds.
  • Clinic personnel include 4 advanced practice providers assisting with admissions and rounds, 5 registered nurses, 2 genetic counselors, and 13 sonographers.
  • The Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic interprets scans and offers telemedicine services for 14 locations across the tri-state region.
  • Labor & Delivery is supported by a dedicated Maternal Fetal Transport team.
  • The neonatal services include a newly established 43-bed Level III NICU with pediatric sub-specialists in anesthesiology, surgery, cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, and radiology.
