Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for assessing acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, and intervening in emergency situations.
About the RoleThis is a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit with a wide variety of monitored patients, including Chest Pain, Stroke, COPD, Post Ops, GI, Accelerated Heart Rhythm, respiratory, and Drips. The unit is a step-down from PCU and Level II Trauma Center, offering career pathing and elevation to more critical care. Our team provides support, guidance, and education for each other, making it a great place to grow and develop your skills.
Responsibilities- Provide care for patients aged 16 and over, including young adult patients, adult patients, and geriatric patients.
- Monitor and analyze heart rhythms, noting arrhythmias and intervening in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date.
