As a Blow Molding Process Specialist at Plastipak Holdings, you will be integral in enhancing customer satisfaction through the proficient management of the Blow Molding Department. Your responsibilities will include the development and optimization of Sidel reheat and blow molding processes for various beverage containers, encompassing both qualification and new product trials.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the authority on Sidel Blow Molding machinery, including Series 1, Series 2, and Matrix models, covering various applications such as CSD, cold fill, heat set, and overstroke.
  • Design and refine blow mold setup procedures and heating profiles for both new and existing products.
  • Adjust processes to enhance quality, maximize uptime, minimize scrap, and reduce changeover durations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of oven-related equipment on Sidel blow molders according to scheduled maintenance protocols.
  • Document processes comprehensively for the benefit of Process Technicians.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Process Technicians on effective setup, changeover, and equipment operation.
  • Analyze quality data to identify root causes of defects and formulate corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting process efficiency and uptime.
Your Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Sidel or comparable blow molding equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of blow molding machinery and operational methodologies.
  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is preferred.
  • Experience in documenting operational processes.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
