Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Support Technician to join our team at Webster Engineering. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare metal surfaces for painting and mixing refractory material
  • Build pallets/crates for shipping and assemble mechanical parts
  • Perform general maintenance and user maintenance on all machines and equipment
  • Comply with all safety rules and standards and report any conditions out of control to your supervisor
  • Maintain a neat, clean, orderly, and functional work area at all times
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • Test finished products for defects
  • Maintain the tools used to create products
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and a plant which is not temperature controlled. Inside Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
