About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilizing Tech II to join our Central Sterilization team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize, and store procedure trays, instruments, equipment, and supplies according to prescribed procedures.
  • Complete requests to dispense supplies directly to the Operating Rooms and maintain department supply inventory.
  • Provide accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.
  • Address questions and concerns promptly, or identify appropriate person and resources to do so.
  • Maintain and update department reports.
  • Dispense sterile supplies and trays to hospital departments.
  • Assemble case carts with high accuracy.
  • Communicate with inventory specialties for all supplies.
  • Perform quality control functions.
  • Disassemble and clean instruments and equipment using proper technique.
  • Assemble instrument trays with high degree of accuracy using the instrument tracking system.
  • Maintain assigned work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Sterilize all instruments and supplies using the correct sterilization method.
  • Complete all sterilization documentation.
  • Prioritize workload.
