We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on a crucial role within our finance department at Florida Hotel Company. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the comprehensive accounting functions for the organization.
- Utilize hospitality accounting systems and various financial software, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure that all operating hotels provide precise financial data on a daily basis.
- Monitor adherence to corporate policies and reporting requirements across all locations.
- Maintain accurate records for projects under development and in the pipeline.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and fundamental accounting principles.
- Lead the timely completion of monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations by the 7th of each month.
- Review and approve monthly supply requisitions prior to submission.
- Ensure the accurate processing of weekly vendor payments.
- Develop and manage employee benefit programs, including annual insurance coverage for hotels.
- Generate payroll reports bi-weekly, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Foster productive relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Participate in the planning and execution of Property Improvement Plans for existing hotels.
- Collaborate with the offshore accounting team for additional support.
- Report directly to senior management, working closely with the director of operations and vice president.
- The role may involve occasional travel within a two-hour radius.

Compensation:
Starting at $55,000.00 annually

Experience Requirements:
- GAAP knowledge: 1 year (preferred)
