Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Soil Testing, Inc. as a full-time or part-time Mechanic position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair of Equipment and Trucks
  • Accurately diagnose and repair issues on vehicles and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep detailed records
  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment
  • Repair equipment as necessary
  • Welding tasks such as welding/build-up auger tools
  • Maintain a comprehensive log of all work carried out
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • Adhere to company's safety protocols
  • Must possess a basic set of hand tools
Requirements
  • Experience in heavy equipment and truck repair and maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to inspect heavy equipment and trucks
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Effective mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in operating heavy equipment, CDL, and welding fabrication abilities are advantageous
