Job SummaryA Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine exams, including general NM scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies.
- Quality control of all Nuclear Medicine equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Safe handling of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday call for after-hour emergencies.
- Adherence to NRC and NJDEP regulations regarding radiation safety.
- Completion of clinical training through an NM training program or college requirements.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Nuclear Medicine.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License or Current CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Tech License.
- Current NJ-NUCMED - NJ Nuclear Med Tech License.
