Team Mission

The Audio & Media Technologies division within Apple's Software Engineering department is establishing a Perception Quality team. This team is focused on developing and validating a robust software architecture for multi-modal awareness across Apple platforms.

This collaborative team will engage with specialists throughout Apple, who are creating advanced machine learning algorithms that leverage data from cameras, microphones, and various sensors. The goal is to enhance future Apple products' ability to comprehend their surroundings while upholding Apple's renowned standards for privacy and security.


Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience in designing intricate testing systems that incorporate both software and mechanical components.
  • Exceptional debugging capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience in fixture design and scaling laboratory testing infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Python and Swift for developing automated testing software.

Role Responsibilities

We are in search of highly driven quality engineers to assess the secure software architecture of Perception Systems for Apple platforms.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting manual testing and implementing software automation.
  • Validating algorithm execution performance and real-time data processing for camera, audio, and other sensors.
  • Testing the corresponding system frameworks and APIs.

This innovative framework will integrate with various system components and applications, paving the way for new experiences in upcoming Apple products.


Education & Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience is required.


Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, base salary is just one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth and advancement as you develop in your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, with actual salary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
