Job Summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate a cash register, processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and policies.
  • Assist with inventory management, restocking shelves, and maintaining a well-stocked store.
  • Support store initiatives, participating in visual merchandising, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail or customer service experience.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
