Key Responsibilities
  • Painting and Refinishing: Deliver exceptional painting and refinishing services on rides, structures, and equipment, ensuring their aesthetic appeal and adherence to safety standards.
  • Color Coordination: Choose and blend paint colors to align with Fun Spot's vibrant theme, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere throughout the park.
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to achieve a perfect finish.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Collaboration: Work in tandem with maintenance and operations teams to effectively schedule and manage painting projects.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of machinery and tools related to painting, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
  • Expertise in various painting methods, including brushwork, spraying, and rolling, with the ability to create smooth and even finishes.
  • Experience in surface preparation techniques, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming, to ensure durability and quality.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Adherence to Fun Spot Action Park's drug-free workplace policy, including consent to pre-employment drug testing.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle check when applicable.
Physical Requirements

This role can be physically demanding, requiring the following:
  • Standing and Mobility: Ability to stand for long periods and navigate the park for various painting tasks.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Capability to lift and transport heavy painting equipment and materials, weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Bending and Kneeling: Frequent bending and kneeling for surface preparation and detailed painting work.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding to reach elevated surfaces.
  • Repetitive Movements: Engaging in repetitive arm and hand motions when applying paint.
  • Dexterity: Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precise painting tasks.
  • Exposure to Paint Fumes: Comfort working in environments with paint fumes, with proper ventilation and PPE provided.
  • Outdoor Work: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical Endurance: Ability to maintain stamina throughout the workday, especially during busy periods.
