Job Summary

Resources for Human Development is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our consumers with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral health histories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision and support to individuals in accordance with their person-centered ISP, promoting healthy and socially acceptable behaviors.
  • Administer medication and complete required documentation.
  • Provide transportation to consumers and support them in activities of daily living, meal preparation, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Assist in community integration activities and access to community supports, including medical appointments and social security access.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording, and other programs.
  • Prior experience in the human services field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance if applicable.
